Photography in course

Fotografia en curs is a pedagogy programme of photography creation aimed mainly at children and young people aged between 3 and 18.

It started in 2012 with a triple objective: transmitting photography as art, culture and creation; fostering the discovery of the photographic heritage and contemporary photography; and generating a portrait of the territory through a proposal of creative practices.

The main lines of action are:

  • teacher training
  • workshops with photographers within the framework of museums or cultural institutions
  • the web page, where the discovery of very diverse photographs has a very important role together with the exhibition of photographs taken by the students
  • the definition of a programme of shared photographic practices which allow the initiation to the photography, the disovery of the environment and the exchange between students of very diverse social and geographical contexts.

The museums and centers involved in the project since 2012-2013 are ACVic Centre d'Arts Contemporànies, Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona, Arxiu Fotogràfic d'Olot, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), Centro Galego de Artes da Imaxe (CGAI), Fundació Foto Colectania, La Virreina.
