Photography in course
Photography in course is a programme of dissemination and pedagogy of photographic creation aimed mainly at children and young people between 8 and 18 years of age.
It begins in 2012 with a triple objective: to transmit photography as art, culture, and creation; to promote the discovery of the photographic heritage and contemporary photography; to generate a set of portraits of the territory through a proposal of creative practices.
The main lines of action are:
- Teacher training
- Workshops with photographers within the framework of museums or cultural institutions
- The web page, where the discovery of very diverse photographs has a very important role together with the exhibition of photographs taken by the students.
- The definition of a programme of shared photographic practices which allow the initiation to the photography, the discovery of the environment, and the exchange between students of very diverse social and geographical contexts.
The museums and centers involved in the project since 2012-2013 are ACVic Centre d'Arts Contemporànies, Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona, Arxiu Fotogràfic d'Olot, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), Centro Galego de Artes da Imaxe (CGAI), Fundació Foto Colectania, Museo Reina Sofia (MNCARS), Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Gas Natural Fenosa (MAC), and Virreina - Centre de la imatge.
